Teeth Whitening

At Brenda Berkal, DMD, we offer a variety of methods for teeth whitening. Laser whitening is a great option if you want instant results and is done in the office in about an hour.

Home whitening is extremely effective and allows you to control how bright you want your smile. By utilizing custom trays and a built-in desensitizer, you can achieve the level you want comfortably.

Clear Braces

ClearCorrect is a treatment that slowly straightens teeth by utilizing custom aligners based on your needs.

Be sure to remove your ClearCorrect aligners when eating, drinking, or teeth cleaning. Other than these exceptions, your aligners should be worn consistently for accurate results.

Veneers

Improve the appearance of misaligned teeth, gaps, or stains with a thin, ceramic shell called Veneers. Veneers are strongly bonded to your tooth and give a beautiful, natural-looking appearance to any smile.

CEREC CAD/CAM Restorations

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Milling (CAM) allow for advanced treatment options by cutting down the wait time for any restoration. At Brenda Berkal, DMD, we utilize CEREC CAD/CAM technology to make restorations outside of your mouth. This technology allows Dr. Berkal to restore teeth in one visit precisely. This also eliminates the requirement of impressions by using advanced computer 3D technology to analyze the interaction of the new restoration with your other teeth.

Digital X-rays

With the use of digital x-rays, the patient is able to view and understand the structure of their mouth better. It is also more beneficial than film x-rays because there is less radiation. There is also no need to wait around for film development because digital x-rays are instantly produced and available for the patient to view. This not only saves time, but also increases patient care by keeping them informed and utilizing time efficiently.

Digital Intraoral Camera

With new technology such as the digital intraoral camera, patients and dentists can view detailed images of the mouth and teeth at the same time. An intra-oral camera combines the latest video technologies with dental care. This allows the patient to better understand the structure and any issues within their mouth as the doctor is explaining and using the imaging.

Laser Dentistry

At Brenda Berkal, DMD, we utilize WaterLase to reduce damage to surrounding tissues, conserve tooth structure, and minimize trauma. For deep cleanings and better bacteria removal, we use Laser Bacterial Reduction treatment during dental hygiene cleaning. WaterLase is beneficial when removing tooth, bone, or soft tissues because of minimal bleeding, faster healing, and less need for medication. It is not as invasive with heat, vibration, or pressure, which is why it can be performed comfortably with less anesthesia.

Biomimetic Dentistry

Biomimetic dentistry is the method utilized at Brenda Berkal, DMD in order to deliver natural function and appearance with any restoration. Traditional dental treatments can be invasive and remove more than just the damaged area of a tooth, leaving other problems when one is solved. Biomimetic restorations can include small composite fillings and porcelain onlays that restore the biomechanics of broken and damaged teeth

Frenectomy

A frenectomy is a procedure to unattach an area of connective fibers that are usually between the gums and lip or mouth floor and tongue. It is executed with a laser to eliminate the need for stitches and comfortably release the fibers. This procedure is often used on infants to improve feeding technique, speech, and mouth structure. When performed on adults, the result is to help protect gum tissue and allow dentures to better fit in the mouth.
