Hand-selected by Dr. Berkal, our team consists of individuals who bring unique skills and expertise to each position. Members of our Derry dental team have been with Dr. Berkal for 15+ years, so not only do we have the privilege of watching young ones grow up, but we also get to build relationships with new individuals and their families over the years. Kathie, Office Coordinator
Kathie is our office coordinator, and she is the first smile you see when you walk in the office. She has been in dentistry for over 30 years, and she is here to support and oversee all our patient’s non-clinical needs. As your first point of contact, she will be assisting in scheduling your dental visits, discussing out of pocket expenses, and helping to obtain the most from your dental insurance. She is an expert at providing detailed treatment plans and financial options tat supply each patient with the tools they need to understand their investment decisions. Always willing to chat up your personal interests, the weather, or your travel experiences – Kathie looks forward to meeting each one of our dental family.
Kathie is married and has an adult son. As a close family, they enjoy camping on the shores of the Contoocook River, spending time with family and friends around the campfire, and riding ATVs on the trails of Hillsborough, New Hampshire. She also enjoys photography, ready, diamond art, and yearly adventures traveling with a large, friend group!
Christine, Dental Hygienist
Christine has been with us for almost the entirety of her 15+ year dental career, and she deeply enjoys connecting with our patients and establishing long-standing relationships. Everyone has their own unique story and journey that brought them to our practice, and it is important for her to know this so she can best support their dental needs. She is a graduate of the New Hampshire Technical Institute and has an AS degree in Early Childhood Education. She has certifications in local anesthesia and laser therapy, and she is also the safety coordinator for our office.
Christine is married and has three sons. When she is not at the office, she loves spending time with her family, especially watching her sons play college baseball. You’ll often find her outdoors taking walks with her beagle, Happy, or going to the beach. When not super busy, she likes to read and enjoy a glass of wine.
Merys, Certified Dental Assistant
Merys has been helping patients feel comfortable at the dentist for over a decade. She graduated from the dental assisting program at Northern Essex Community College and still works diligently to improve her clinical skills and knowledge.
A Derry native, Merys is a big dog lover and likes to spend her free time traveling.
